WORK ON THE PROJECT
Behind every screen — a specific decision.
A portal for the Jewish centre of the Caucasian Mineral Waters region, serving community members, families, visitors and the centre’s team. It introduces the centre and guides people towards a concrete next step. Updated 6 October 2026
01
The centre’s identity: space, mountains and gold
The hero combines large editorial typography, a mountain landscape and a dimensional golden menorah. Its message is “A place where we come together”.
Two distinct palettes, light vanilla and dark chocolate, share gold accents.
The introduction presents the Caucasus and the centre’s emblem; it can be skipped and motion can be disabled.
The hero offers two clear paths: find a community or take the first step towards participation.
02
Communities and a first visit
Three communities are presented as individual places with photography, addresses and contacts. Visitors can choose Pyatigorsk or Kislovodsk.
Cards explain where to go, how to get in touch and where to find the location on a map.
A first-visit section answers practical questions for newcomers.
Primary navigation and additional sections are available on desktop and mobile.
03
A calendar for planning
A calendar strip shows the Jewish date and upcoming Shabbat times. The detailed section separates holidays and fasts from community programmes.
Monthly grid, month navigation, return to the current month and selected-day details.
Holidays include explanations and links to detailed articles.
Candle-lighting and Shabbat end times use the stated city; calendar data is based on Hebcal.
04
Programmes, people and centre life
The portal connects the centre’s history with everyday activities and meeting places.
Children’s, youth, family and educational programmes, including Olami and Torah study.
Articles, photography, people and spaces convey the atmosphere before a first visit.
Support is separated into three beneficiaries with individual links and QR codes. The portal itself does not charge donations.
05
Editorial workspace for the team
Public pages are backed by a protected content workspace.
Roles and access controls, drafts, publishing and restoring content revisions.
An image library, enquiries and internal team notes.
A shared structure keeps different sections visually consistent.
06
Launch and migration to an independent server
The website runs on geula26.ru on an independent server with HTTPS and backups.
The domain is retained, with redirects for previous page addresses.
The mobile interface preserves key actions in navigation, the calendar and cards.
A comparison with the actual former website appears in a separate “Before and after” section. All other screens show the live portal.
FROM THE FORMER WEBSITE TO THE PORTAL
One centre. A deeper experience.
This compares the actual former website on its previous hosting with the live portal. Intermediate development versions are not shown.

01CHALLENGE
Help people find their community, an event or a way to participate, while giving the centre an effective working tool.
02SOLUTION
A golden menorah and mountain landscape connect the centre’s cultural identity with its location. Vanilla and dark chocolate themes share one structure: communities, programmes, calendar, resources and support. The portal runs on geula26.ru with a protected editorial workspace.
